Under the State Government’s uniform tariff policy everyone in the State pays the same price for electricity regardless of where they live – in large metropolitan areas where the cost of purchasing, generating, distributing and retailing electricity is lower or regional and remote areas of the State where the costs are often higher.
Most customers of Horizon Power pay a tariff that is much lower than the actual cost of purchasing or generating, distributing and retailing electricity. The difference between the tariffs most customers pay and the actual cost is subsidised by the State Government.
If you hold a concession card and are on the A2 Residential Tariff, you may be eligible for one or more rebates or subsidies.
To apply for a rebate or subsidy, please call us on 1800 267 926 or download an application form which is available on the Concession, rebates and subsidies page.
