How much will an underground connection cost?

If you are in an area where electricity is supplied through an overhead network and you would like an underground power supply between the street pole and the meter box, you may be eligible for a subsidised rate. The application form details the terms and conditions to be eligible for this subsidised rate.

If you are building a home or business, the cost of underground power will be included as part of the quote we provide for connection.

In areas where we are working with local governments to underground the broader overhead distribution network, Horizon Power will not charge for this work but you may be required to contribute through your rates. These costs will be advised by your local Shire.
