Stay at least one metre away from service lines
Electricity connects to your home in different ways, through either overhead or underground power. In both instances, a network service wire leads to a connection point of supply on your property. If you’re in an older region or smaller town, the power might be supplied to your home by overhead lines.
Sunken but the same
In the parts of our network which are underground, powerlines are sunk beneath the ground and a mini-pillar or ‘green dome’ is installed just inside the property to connect homes to the network.
